Bacchanal in Provincetown Presents a Selection of Photographs by Sterck and Rozo Entitled “Cape Cod Work”. The Exhibit is up From June 15 Until July 13, 2008. A Closing Reception is on Wednesday July 9, 2008 at 8 pm.

The exhibit at Bacchanal by Sterck and Rozo include large color photographs from the Figure series as well as from the Portraits, Snowflakes and Chandeliers series. In the Figure series Sterck and Rozo have photographed each other in the Provincetown and Truro landscape on Cape Cod resulting in existential, dreamlike images of dark, non-descript figures. In Portraits, Snowflakes and Chandeliers, double-mirrored elements of the Cape Cod landscape form crisp, kaleidoscopic images recalling ancient masks and mandalas. Throughout their work, they examine the relationship between theology, science and art and continue to do so with this body of work.
